First Day of Second Semester, Sophomore Year

And so today began my first day of second semester of my sophomore year in college at Stetson University. I knew this semester was going to be difficult and a handful, but I never imagined it was going to be like this. I mine as well start from the beginning of my day...

Well I was up at 6;45AM because I have a 30 minute commute to school, and I needed to shower and what not and be to school before 8:30AM. My first class is "Sociology of Law" with my all time favorite adviser and professor Dr. Nance. I had him last semester and loved his class. I am very interested in the Law portion of Sociology so this class was perfect for me. Luckily my friend Sophie is also in the class so I am not alone! But there is this one girl who sat on the opposite side of the classroom who always had to put her two cents in. She always thinks her opinion is the correct one. I am really hoping that this doesn't last because she drives me nuts.

My second class was "Social inequality" which was in the same classroom and also with Dr. Nance. And in this class there is this kid I had in my Social Deviance class last semester who when he talks his voice projects itself. He is super annoying and also thinks hes always right. And he always wants to talk. And on top of that, the girl from the first class is also in it... So that's double the annoying... Hopefully this class will be alright.

I then had a break for lunch from 11:45 to 1. So I had lunch with my best friend Sam. Her and I ate on campus and the food wasn't too horrible. We then hung out for a few and we both had classes at 1 so we went to class.

My third class of the day is "Population, Society, and Environment"  this class although the professor seems cool and nice it seems like a very boring class. I am so hoping that the professor makes it worth it because it is a requirement for my major. That annoying guy is also in this class. So I have him for two classes as well... LUCKY ME!

My last and final class of the day is "Digital Video Fundamentals" and I am taking it for my Creative Arts General Education requirement. I had no idea what the professor was talking about. The whole film making process is a foreign language to me. Luckily I have my friend Payton in my class and he knows so much about this stuff and he offered to help me. He literally is saving my ass from failing this class.

So overall this is going to be a very LONG and WORK LOADED semester! It'll be interesting. Although I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays my days are non stop from 6:45am when I wake up until 4pm or so when class ends. And on top of that I am going to have to fit in a work schedule. I am going to be sooooooo tired every day.

So lesson to be learned is, yes when you are a commuter it is easier to put all your classes into two days so that you're not driving back and forth to campus all week... but it is not smart because you will so regret it. The amount of work and tests that will probably wind up being on the same day aren't going to be worth the two days of classes. Only time will tell how the semester will really go.

WISH ME LUCK!
